Do you eat because you are bored?

Do you have emotional triggers with regards to food and eating?

If you have ever eaten something because you are feeling bored or lonely, guilty, angry, stressed, happy or anxious or for that matter, eating when we are feeling "emotional" about anything - then you do have an emotional trigger.

Well the bad new is that you are fulfilling the role of a part of your brain that controls our emotions, called the Amygdala.  The amygdala is an almond shape section of our brain that is responsible for emotions, creativity and memory.  So, whether you like it or not, you are eating the wrong food because of a ‘feeling’ not because you need to!

The good news is, that when an individual is experiencing hypnosis, the amygdala shuts itself off.  All emotions and fears are turned off, therefore allowing all the suggestions, given by the hypnotherapist, to penetrate the unconscious mind ensuring a complete mind-body connection.

Understanding what our triggers are, e.g. feeling bored or lonely, is a first step to successful weight loss. Then, by utilizing the skills of hypnotherapy to lose weight, is the next step.

Achieving weight loss though hypnosis works for those of us who have emotional triggers to eating.
